Have you ever compiled a lot of data about something, but been unable to figure out what it means? Often, the number of people involved, the number of events at which they might have met, and the number of common contacts are just too much for a person to track. This can happen when you are trying to understand the players and interests in current events, or the characters and actions in a novel. It’s easy to collect the data, but hard to visualize it or analyze the relationships.

This is where StringDae comes in. StringDae allows you to easily visualize people, events, things, groups, and timelines and to easily see the relationships between them.

Use StringDae to plot a novel, or to investigate a crime. Use it to analyze your favorite conspiracy theory and look for relationships that have eluded the investigators. Use it to track the causes and results of historical events – or current ones. Use it to track changing relationships among your friends at high school. Use it to track the twists and turns of a role-playing game. There’s no end to what you can investigate with StringDae

Organize

StringDae is an on-line system that allows you to enter what you know about a person, event, object, or group. Who are their friends – and who are their enemies? Where have they been, and when were they there? Who have they met? What have they owned? With whom do they associate? All these can be entered in a simple form that allows you to maintain and update information as it becomes known.

How does StringDae work?

Once data has been entered, use StringDae’s graphical analysis tools to analyze your data in new ways. Use relationship maps to find out how two people or groups are associated. Use timeline analysis to show cause and effect of seemingly unrelated events. Use social network mapping to show how relationships change over time. Look for events that stand out or relationships that have great impact on multiple events. Like a spider’s web, look for the intersections that matter, then look for the players that brought that intersection into focus.

What do I get with StringDae?

Basic StringDae will allow any registered user to create, maintain and analyze one investigation. Advanced features will be available a la carte and will include special analytical reports, multiple investigations, and the ability to share an investigation among multiple users. Investigations of general interest could also be shared publicly in read-only mode.

You will also get access to several read-only public investigations to use as a model. These might include the plots of popular novels or movies, the details of a major political event, or an investigation into a famous crime.
