Target audience - financial advisors and financial advisory firms

We want to explore logo options with and without a cloud icon. (we don't want to focus too heavily on the cloud - option to use "PC" or "pc" icon instead of cloud icon?) 

We want to explore both serif and sans serif fonts. 
We would like a small icon along with the logo 
Preference for horizontal logos (not too high). 

As examples, we like the EOS.io (eois.io) logo, the Ethereum logo (ethereumproject.org) and the Tron logo (tron.network). Although we are not tied to this type of design. 

We like the flat 3D/geometric images. But not sure how to incorporate these in a cloud theme.

We like blue colors, but are happy to let the designer suggest alternatives
